Some sessions don’t go according to plan, and somehow end up even better.
Cierra and Joseph made the trip up from Virginia for their baby shower and reached out about documenting this season before their baby girl arrives. We had originally planned to shoot at White House Fruit Farm during the tulip experience, but spring had its own ideas, and honestly, it worked out exactly the way it was supposed to.
We started the evening at Fellows Riverside Gardens, where the magnolia trees were in full bloom alongside rows of soft spring florals and tulips. We had a great time laughing and soaking up all the beautiful scenery. From there, we headed into Mill Creek Park to one of my favorite tucked-away spots, a bluebell field that feels like something out of a dream. The two of them just melted into each other there, laughing, snuggling, and completely in their own world. We wrapped things up at Daffodil Hill, racing the incoming rain and managing to grab a few last images before the skies opened up.
We ended the session the same way we spent it, laughing, hugging, and just enjoying the moment.
Baby Guinevere already has two people who are so clearly, deeply in love with her.
